The Dit’s Sheep
I’d like to use this space to write about some things. It probably sounds silly out of context—but, trust me, the shit’s deep. Why all the inferiority? I keep asking myself that about Jose. Where does the self hatred come from? It’s possible he believes Mariela could have had an affair with Diego, like a lot of artists of that time. Or, that he believes she would, since Diego’s art is more critically valued. I have to be specific on beat changes, why he shifts from negotiations, to confrontations, seductions. There’s a lot we have to do. Accent work, physical chronic pain, he’s dying so I have to get specific with that. He can’t yell. It sort of, is, feeling very loosely-goosey, which I think is good for me. To try to balance all the specificity of behavior with all the creative stuff. The Serpent vs the Jaguar and their creation of the world—is this a creation myth in and of itself? The reason art exists at all? A Modern Mexican Myth? Damn, I’m good. Okay, too tired, see you next Time.
Thank God for life,
Rolling Ferro
